Good Hope Sailing Academy offers the following courses:

Competent Crew Course
This comprehensive course is designed for beginners who wish to obtain a more advanced ticket when sufficient mileage and experience have been logged.

Day Skippers Course
(Includes Inland Waters day & night and Power Boats)
This course gives a sound grounding in Coastal Navigation and Yacht Management. It is designed for students who are competent to crew on a yacht. It can be done over 5 Saturdays and five Tuesday evenings or as an 8 days Full Time Course.

SAS Local Water Skippers Course
This long awaited and essential course is bridging the gap between
Day- and Coastal Skipper. On completion the skipper is allowed to sail
at night from his home port and obtain the necessary miles and experience for the Coastal Skipper’s Ticket.
Requirements: A SAS or Casa Day skipper Certificate.

SAS Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore Course
This course is designed to prepare you fully for the SA Sailing (SAS) Coastal Skipper Exam or the Yachtmaster Offshore Exam - both the practical and theoretical aspects.
