Basic terminology and sail training in preparation for the more demanding Competent Crew course. This is a hands-on course with two days spent at sea learning to be at home on a yacht. The course is for people who are not sure if they would like to sail, and for people who are in Cape Town for a short period of time. Sailing from Royal Cape Yacht Club.     Day Skipper

    A Day Skipper is qualified to skipper a sail boat in inland waters day and night and at sea from sunrise to sunset in his local waters. A Day Skipper is also qualified to skipper a power boat under 100 tons in inland waters by day or night.
